Our Estate is proud to support Athens’ Olympian Ms Rebel Morrow and her equestrian mount Oaklea Groover. Rebel was born and raised in Kilcoy and her hometown is very proud of this talented young lady. Rebel and Oaklea were members of the 2004 Australian Equestrian Team which competed in the three equestrian events at the Athens’ Olympics. Rebel and Oaklea were placed 11th in the world at the end of competition. Theirs was the best scoring within the Australian team. Congratulations to a pair of Champions. |

Our Estate has produced two wines which will help support Rebel and Groover in their quest for Olympic glory at Beijing in 2008 Verdelho is a grape variety which does exceptionally well in our Somerset Valleys Region around Kilcoy. Our warm summers are ideally suited to bringing out the rich aromas/flavours and crispness of this wine (Varietal characterisics). |
The Rebel Shiraz has been produced as a Rose’. This is also known as a White Shiraz, where the Shiraz (red) grapes are pressed straight away and do not ferment with their skins as with a dry red Shiraz. The juice is pink and goes through a white wine process. Therefore the term White Shiraz refers to the way the wine is treated, not its colour. It is the perfect medium dry Rose' – serve quite chilled. The Rebel Shiraz is still, slightly tart, strawberryish with a gentle hint of tannin. |
